Pakistan, yesterday, surpassed arch-rival India’s record of winning ODI cricket matches in history. The Islamic nation is now second in the list of teams having maximum victories in ODI matches after Australia.

On Tuesday, Pakistan defeated West Indies by six wickets in the three matches series, taking its total number of victories in ODI cricket to 460. All-rounder Shoaib Malik scored an unbeaten ton in the final ODI of the series against WI in Guyana.

Indian team, so far, has won 459 matches in the limited over format, of the 874 matches it has played.

Among the cricket playing nations, Australia leads the list with 554 wins in 898 ODI matches. West Indies, so far, have won 378 and Sri Lanka 369. Similarly, South Africa emerged as a winner in 356 ODIs.

It is worth a mention that Pakistan tops the list of international T20 wins by any team. Pak Team has won 67 matches in the 114 international T20s. It has so far played 407 Test matches and emerged victorious in 130.

 

Across all formats of cricket, Australia leads the list with 978 international victories, followed by England with 727 wins. Pakistan is third in the list with 657 victories.

Indian team has 646 victories in international matches.
