A day after BCCI officially welcoming back Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals in IPL after the two franchise completed their two-year ban, former India skipper MS Dhoni has celebrated the return of his beloved CSK in his unique style. On his official Instagram account, Dhoni posted a photograph of himself wearing the CSK jersey with his favourite number ‘7’ and the Tamil word ‘Thala’ written over it. ‘Thala’ in Tamil translates to ‘leader’.

The picture went viral on social media as soon as the former India captain posted it. Cricket fans all around the world particularly the CSK supporters hailed their champion on their comeback.

The 36-year old had successfully led the Chennai franchise in eight consecutive editions. Under his leadership, CSK clinched two IPL titles in 2010 and 2011 respectively and reached the finals of the tournament on record seven occasions. The yellow brigade also lifted the now-defunct Champions League T20 title twice under MSD's captaincy

However, both CSK and RR were banned from the lucrative Indian Premier League in 2015 due to alleged betting charges against their owners.

In the last two seasons of IPL, Dhoni played under the new Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) franchise owned by the Goenka group.

Lately, Dhoni has been facing a lot of criticism over his personal form with the bat in limited-overs cricket. He was widely blamed by the cricket fans world over for India’s shameful loss in the fourth ODI at Antigua against West Indies.
