Live IPL Cricket Score, Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Mumbai Indians

Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Mumbai Indians, Match & Live from Bengaluru: An edge of a seat drama and a nail-biting finish which is highly controversial. Rohit's 48 and Pandya's cameo helped Mumbai Indians post 187/8 despite Chahal's 4/38 restricitng them. The Blues could have gone past 200 but RCB did restrict them. On the other hand, Kohli's 46 and AB de Villiers' unbeaten 70 went in vain as Mumbai managed to pip RCB by 6 runs to win their first match of the season. However, the last delivery by Maling was a no-ball which went unoticed. The topic would be a hot discussion in the coming days but for now, it is Mumbai Indians who emerged victorious over Kohli's RCB.

Highlights, IPL 2019, Match 7: MI (187/8) beat RCB (181/5) by 6 runs

23.55 IST: But hold on! What's happened here? Replays are up on the screen and they show that Malinga has overstepped on the last ball, but it's gone unnoticed. Kohli is seen furious and the crowd are clearly unhappy.

23.50 IST: Lasith Malinga... yes, my man! What an amazing over. Amazing. Rolling the years back, isn't he? This is right in the blockhole, Shivam Dubey can only hit it aerially towards wide long on. Rohit moves to his left, Pollard comes from deep mid-wicket to his right, both collide but no harm done. No run taken either but it doesn't matter. MUMBAI WIN BY 6 RUNS!

23.45 IST: SIX! Dube has a crack on Malinga's yorker! The guts! 11 required from 5 balls! First ball of the over and he sends it sailing. Full and right in the slot, the southpaw stays deep inside the crease and smokes it over long off for half a dozen. 11 needed off 5 balls. RCB 177/5 in 19.1 overs

* Shivam Dubey walks out now. Big moment ahead in front of the youngster. AB de Villiers will be on strike though.

23.40 IST: OUT! Gone next ball. Bumrah with another wicket. Been an exceptional over so far. Short of a length outside off, de Grandhomme lofts it over covers. Never in control of this, he skies it towards the man in the deep. Krunal out there moves to his right, gets under the ball and gobbles it up. RCB 169/5 in 18.3 overs

23.34 IST: SIX! Another one! Whoever might have mentioned that he's finished, they probably might want to reconsider. Wow.  With him already in form, Hardik isn't helping himself with a juicy full toss. AB de Villiers slams it into the mid-wicket stands for half a dozen. RCB 166/4 in 17.5 overs

23.33 IST: SIX! WOAH! That has gone a long, long way! Chinnaswamy is electric at the moment! Kohli is all pumped up! Mr. 360 for a reason! He somehow finds a way to score in any area. Look at that! Full and wide outside off, de Villiers gets down, reaches out to it and just hacks it over covers. Clears the leaping fielder just inside the rope and gets a maximum to his name.

23.31 IST: FOUR! Smashed and it's the ABD show going on! RCB 152/4 in 17.1 overs

23.26 IST: Fifty for AB de Villiers, his 29th in the Indian T20 League. He gets to the milestone with a punch through the covers for a single. He's the key, he knows that. He'll want to finish it off for his side.

23.25 IST: OUT! Would you look at that? He's come on and already got a breakthrough. This is what the best in the business do. They deliver. It's full on the stumps, Hetmyer backs away and tries to go big downtown. Mistimes it altogether and hands a simple enough catch to Hardik Pandya at mid off. A bit poor from Hetmyer, all he needed to do was give the strike to AB. Nothing more.

23.21 IST: SIX! Another one! This one's massive and bigger than the previous one! This man is ripping Malinga apart. RCB 147/3 in 16 overs

23.20 IST: SIX! Blasted and ABD is going big! He also has now reached 4000 IPL runs. That is outta here! Sweet hit from de Villiers. Fuller and outside off, AB picks his spot, lines it up and smashes it over wide long off for a biggie. Super shot.

23.19 IST: FOUR! There's a massive appeal for a leg before, but the umpire has signalled runs. Rohit Sharma has a chat with his bowler and keeper, and decides not to take the DRS. Good decision in the end, replay shows there is some bat involved. Full toss on the stumps, de Villiers gets low to slog sweep but it takes the inside edge, goes off the pad and runs away to the fine leg fence.

* Lasith Malinga returns to the attack.

23.13 IST: FOUR! ABD at it again. Two in two for de Villiers. This is a much better shot. Short again, he sticks ball, nails the pull as he hits it over mid-wicket. A few bounces and it beats the fielder in the deep to the boundary. MI 125/3 in 14.4 overs

23.12 IST: FOUR! Not in complete control of that shot. AB will feel he's lucky, but will take the runs all the same. This short ball sits up for him, de Villiers stands tall and heaves it towards wide long on. Suryakumar Yadav out in the deep comes in to his right and dives, but the ball falls short. Goes through him and it's a boundary. Hardik isn't pleased with the effort. MI 121/3 in 14.3 overs

23.08 IST: OUT! Jasprit Bumrah removes th skipper as he said in the ad. Once again when his team needed it, he's stood up and delivered. He bangs this in short, it comes at good pace and hurries Kohli into the pull shot. He can only manage a top edge and the ball lobs towards mid-wicket. Hardik Pandya there settles under it and takes a safe catch. Crucial partnership of 49 has come to a close. Bangalore have lost their third wicket and the pressure falls on de Villiers.

23.05 IST: Pushed just wide of the cover fielder and AB de Villiers will keep strike. Bangalore need 75 to win off 42.

23.00 IST: SIX! And we've been waiting for that ABD classic! That is massive! Fine way to end the over from de Villiers. 14 runs have come off it. Just ahead of a length, on middle, it's the cutter, AB goes leg side. Slogs it powerfully enough over square leg and gets a maximum to his name. RCB 109/2 in 12 overs

22.57 IST: Back of a length coming back in on middle, Kohli moves inside the line and nudges it behind square leg. Runs the first one hard, wants to come back for the second but slips at the other end. So the batsmen take just the one.

22.53 IST: SIX! And de Villiers takes the ariel route! That has been smashed after Markande's toruble This should get ABD going. This is very full, right in the zone for de Villiers. He lofts it over long off and it goes all the way. . MI 93/2 in 10.4 overs

22.51 IST: FOUR! Blasted and how's that shot from Kohli! Straight as an arrow! This is flighted on middle, Kohli makes moves his front leg out of the way and tonks it over the bowler's head for a boundary. RCB 86/2 in 10.1 overs

22.50 IST: Howzzat? And once again the umpire rules it in the favor of Bangalore. This time it is for an LBW. The impact was outside off. De Villiers goes for the sweep again but misses. It hits his pads. Another excellent over by Markande, 3 from it.

22.48 IST: A huge appeal but the umpire is unmoved! De Villiers looks to play the slog sweep but it goes off the pads to the fielder at first slip. He takes it and appeals but the umpire shakes his head.

22.40 IST: DROPPED! Has Yuvi dropped the game? A reprieve off the very first ball for de Villiers.

22.39 IST: OUT! TIMBER! Mayank strikes in his first over. Breaks the stand which was threatening to take the game away from Mumbai. Exactly what Rohit wanted. It is the googly which does the trick for him. It is flatter and outside off, Patel goes back and looks to cut which means he picked the googly. The ball though is very close to play that shot. PP only manages an inside edge which ricochets onto the stumps behind. Patel walks back after getting a start.  RCB 67/2 in 6.5 overs

22.37 IST: FOUR! Parthiv has played that well but the misfielding has cost Mumbai four runs. RCB 65/1 in 6.2 overs

22.31 IST: SIX! This time Parthiv betters his previous attempt and hits Krunal for a maximum in the same area. 10 from the first two balls and Bangalore are off to a flier. Brings the slog sweep out, gets it off the middle and it sails into the stands. Top shot. RCB 60/1 in 6 overs

22.30 IST: FOUR! Parthiv hits Krunal Pandya to deep mid wicket for a boundary. A shot with minimal risk as it was with the turn. Also, the 50 is up for Bangalore. Krunal tosses it up on middle, Parthiv whips it through mid-wicket and bags a boundary.

22.29 IST: FOUR! Back-to-back boundaries for Kohli to finish the over. Full and outside off, Kohli comes down the track and drives it through covers for a boundary. 9 runs have come from the over. Good one for Bangalore.  RCB 48/1 in 5 overs vs MI

22.28 IST: FOUR! You can't keep Kohli silent for long. Cracking shot from the skipper. Short and outside off, Kohli smashes it through point for a boundary.

22.25 IST: FOUR! Hat-trick of boundaries for Kohli to finish the over. Bumrah gives away 12 runs off his over. Make that three in a row! Kohli has come out all guns blazing. Best of the boundaries these. Another length delivery outside off. Kohli waits for it and at the very end opens the face of the bat. It races through cover-point for a boundary. So two dots and a wicket on the first three balls, three boundaries to end the action-packed over. RCB 39/1 in 4 overs vs MI

22.24 IST: FOUR! This time an edgy boundary! Kohli won't mind though. Bumrah goes full and outside off, Kohli looks to force it through the off side but only manages an outside edge. It is very fine, no chance for third man and consecutive boundaries for the Bangalore skipper.

22.23 IST: FOUR! In the air... but away from mid on. Kohli would have had his heart in the mouth for a moment. Short and on middle, Kohli pulls it uppishly towards mid on. The fielder is a little wide and a boundary results.

22.22 IST: OUT! Moeen Ali run out for 13. And that is why he was walking back as he is way short! The opening stand has been broken in the last way Bangalore would have wanted. Just as Moeen Ali seemed to get going, he has been run out. A suicidal run to be honest. Parthiv works it towards mid-wicket and sets off. Ali is a touch hesitant but then has to go for it as PP is half way down the track. Rohit from mid-wicket gets to the ball quickly, picks it up and hits bull's eye at the striker's end. The Mumbai players are celebrating but the umpire takes it upstairs and replays show that Moeen Ali is a goner. RCB 27/1 in 3.2 overs vs MI (187/7)

22.18 IST: SIX! Moeen Ali finishes with a bang! Right out of the screws! First maximum of the game. 17 from MM's second. Another gift from him. Full and on the pads. Moeen whips it right off the middle and into the square leg stand. RCB 27/0 in 3 overs

22.16 IST: FOUR! Smashed! RCB 16/0 in 2.3 overs

22.15 IST: This is top, top stuff from the Mumbai legend! Brings the slower one in play, it is outside off. Parthiv does not pick it, hangs his bat out and gets beaten.

22.13 IST: Once again, he is totally done in by the slower one. Way too early into the shot. He somehow gets bat to it. The ball rolls towards square leg for a single.

* Lasith Malinga comes into the attack! Welcome back!

22.10 IST: 7 from the first over. Good start for the hosts. Patel taps this towards mid on and takes a single.

22.09 IST: FOUR! Too easy for Patel. He feeds on such deliveries. On the pads, Patel works it through mid-wicket and the ball races away. First boundary for Bangalore.

22.04 IST: And we're back for the chase! 188 on the board and Moeen Ali and Parthiv Patel are out to open for RCB. Mitchell handed the ball and here we go..

* Hardik Pandya's late flurry has put Mumbai in a good position come the end of the innings. 30 runs came in the last two overs which provided the visitors the momentum they so desperately needed. The innings largely revolved around skipper Rohit, he was in good touch and looked set for a big one, but was dismissed against the run of play.

* Yuvraj too was going great guns, but got dismissed after hitting Chahal for three sixes in a row. Post that, the wickets kept falling and Bangalore creeped their way back, but Hardik's late cameo ensured they at least have what is considered as a par score at the Chinnaswamy.

21.52 IST: Mumbai Indians score 187/8 in 20 overs against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Bengaluru. Rohit 48, Chahal 4/38

21.49 IST: SIX! That has landed on the roof! That is gigantic by Hardik! MI 181/8 in 19.4 overs

21.47 IST: SIX! Smashed! Hardik Pandya giving his side a late impetus here. This is exceptional hitting. Full ball and it's right in his slot, he stands his ground and tonks it over the long on fence for a maximum. 179/8 in 19.3 overs

21.45 IST: OUT! Eventually, he's given out caught behind. Length ball cutting in off the deck, Markande tries to run it down to third man with an open face but the ball seemingly goes off the inside edge. The batsmen cross over and there is an appeal for a run out as well, but it's caught behind. Hardik won't be on strike for the next ball.

21.40 IST: No ball! Too high from Saini. The full toss is above waist height, Hardik swings and gets a top edge which skies on the leg side. The keeper comes under it but fails to catch it. The batsmen take two runs. Free Hit coming up on the next delivery...

21.38 IST: SIX! What A Shot! That's gone a looooooonnnnnggggggg waaaaayyyyy! Hardik Pandya makes the sweetest of connections when he dispatches this. Short of a good length on the stumps, the Mumbai all-rounder stands his ground and muscles the pull deep into the mid-wicket stands. MI 167/7 in 18.3 overs

21.37 IST: FOUR! Smashed straight down the ground! And Hardik goes bang! Full toss on off stump, the younger Pandya, with an absolutely straight bat, hammers it straight over the bowler's head, bisecting the two men out in the deep. He holds the pose for the cameras too. MI 161/7 om 18.1 overs

21.34 IST: FOUR! Pandya now gets off the mark in style! What a shot that is. He shuffles right across tempting the batsman to bowl on his pads. Siraj falls for the trap as he does so. Pandya flicks it through square leg and a boundary results. MI 156/7 in 17.3 overs

21.32 IST: OUT! Another one bites the dust! McClenaghan has played it on and now Bangalore are into the bowlers. Siraj removes McClenaghan for 1. This is bowled outside off and it is on a length. MM goes after it away from his body but only manages an inside edge onto the stumps. MI 147/7 in 17.1 overs

* Mitchell McClenaghan to be the new batsman in.

21.27 IST: OUT! Another Mumbai wicket down! Bangalore slowly rising on top of the game here. Umesh bangs it in short and down leg, Krunal pulls this away. Doesn't get enough height on it as Saini out in the deep leaps and takes it just inside the rope. The umpire checks upstairs whether his foot touched the rope and also if Umesh overstepped his line, and it's fine on both accounts. The elder Pandya has to depart.  MI 146/6 in 16.3 overs

21.23 IST: Second in the over for Chahal and he gets rid of the dangerous Pollard. Finishes with a four-fer does the leggie. Half the side in the hut for the visitors and they seem to be losing their way a little. Once again great courage shown by Chahal as he gives it a lot of air and land it outside off. Pollard looks to go inside out but the little turn away does him in. He ends up slicing it towards the man at sweeper cover. Hetmyer there settles under it and takes it. The Bangalore fans have found their voice back here. 6 runs and two wickets of Chahal's final over. He has probably bowled the momentum changing over here. MI 145/5 in 15.5 overs

21.18 IST: OUT! Chahal gets another wicket! His third! Now, two new batsmen will be out in the middle. Just what Bangalore would have wanted. This is tossed up outside off, SKY looks to go over covers but the ball turns. It hits the bottom part and goes high up in the air. Moeen Ali from cover-point runs to his right and takes a good catch. End of a very good innings from Suryakumar Yadav but Mumbai would have wanted him to stay out there. Bangalore on the other hand are managing to pick wickets at regular intervals. Something they have to, to stem the run-flow. Chahal removes Suryakumar Yadav for 38. MI 142/4 in 15.3 overs

21.12 IST: FOUR! A confusing one that! Short of a good length outside off, slower in pace, Yadav throws his bat at it and it goes off the edge over the keeper's head. A boundary results. MI 137/3 in 14.4 overs

21.11 IST: FOUR! A sweep shot through Suryakumar! He's steady as Mumbai pile on runs. Master Blaster Sachin was seen applauding! Innovative. De Grandhomme goes full, a little straight in line, Yadav moves across and paddle sweeps it fine down the leg side for a boundary. MI135/3 in 14.3 overs

Kieron Pollard is the new man in.

21.07 IST: OUT! No, he does not! He does look to go for it but falls in the attempt to do so. Chahal is brave enough to toss it up outside off. It may have been the googly. Yuvraj looks to clear long off this time but does not get it off the middle. It goes towards the fielder there. Siraj for a second seems to have misjudged it but then takes it with both his hands raised above his head. Also, a tumble after that. MI 124/3 in 13.4 overs

21,05 IST: SIX! Wow! Just wow! High and handsome! Three in a row! Another poor ball. Short and outside off, Yuvraj goes back and powers it over the long on stands. Will he now make it 4 in 4 here? MI 124/2 in 13.3 overs

21.04 IST: SIX! Another one and Chahal is left dumbfounded! Back-to-back maximums! Yuvraj Singh is on fire here. What a clean hit. Chahal gives it air this time but lands it very full on off. Yuvraj hits it over the bowler's head. The connection is such that it goes all the way. MI 118/2 in 13.2 overs

21.04 IST: SIX! Yuvraj takes the ariel route now! That is huge! He has really hit that hard. Yes, it is a poor ball but it still has to be put away. Short and on middle, Yuvraj goes back and pulls it over the square leg fence. MI 112/2 in 13.1 overs

21.02 IST: FOUR! A brilliant shot to end the over. 10 from the last two deliveries and 13 from the over. Not what Bangalore wanted as they were starting to tighten things up here. Top shot this from SKY. He whips this through mid-wicket. It is in the gap and it races away to the fence. MI 106/2 in 13 overs

21.01 IST: SIX! That is humungous! Suryakumar has smashed that! 100 up for Mumbai as well.  A shot with not a lot of risk as it was with the turn. Yadav clears his front leg and then tonks it into the long on stands. MI 102/2 in 12.5 overs

* Moeen Ali called into the attack.

20.55 IST: BEATEN! Length and around off, this one straightens a touch. Yuvraj pokes at it tentatively and gets beaten.

* Yuvraj Singh is the new man in.

20.52 IST: OUT! In the air... taken! There goes the Hitman, two short of a half ton. A wicket completely against the run of play. Bangalore will be delighted as Rohit was looking extremely good.

20.49 IST: FOUR! Welcome back into the attack Yadav! Short and on off, SKY is quick to latch onto it. He pulls it through mid-wicket. The outfield is such that if it is in the gap, it is a certain boundary. MI 86/1 in 10.1 overs

20.46 IST: FOUR! Another sweep shot played and Rohit is on a hammering spree here. He's on 47 now.  De Grandhomme attacks the off stick with a full ball and Rohit gets low fast. He slog sweeps it aerially in front of square leg and beats the two men in the deep. MI 80/1 in 9.4 overs

20.45 IST: Really full from Colin de Grandhomme, just around off, Sharma hammers it straight back down the ground. Hetmyer from long off moves swiftly to his left, slides and stops the ball. Gives it to de Villiers who throws it back in. Two runs are taken.

20.43 IST: FOUR! The sweep shot played to perfection here by Rohit. Poor line and he pays the price for it. Full on the pads, Rohit kneels down and sweeps it down the leg side. Nobody out there in the deep, so the ball runs away to the fence. MI 71/1 in 8.5 overs

20.40 IST: FOUR BYES! Gone right through everyone! Full and the leg break, a little quicker in pace and it keeps a little low, Yadav gets low to sweep but fails to make connection. It goes under his bat, through the keeper's legs and away to the boundary line behind. MI 64/1 in 8.1 overs

20.38 IST:  Rohit brings his wrists into play and turns it through the vacant mid-wicket area. One run collected.

* Colin de Grandhomme is brought into the attack

* Suryakumar Yadav walks in at no.3.

20.30 IST: OUT! This is what you call impact! What a player, Yuzvendra Chahal. Gets rid of the dangerous de Kock in his very first over.  He tosses it up on leg stump, Quinton de Kock moves across, maybe a little too much, as he looks to drag the reverse sweep on the off side. It goes off the under edge and disturbs the stumps behind. The break does the job for the hosts, they get their first breakthrough. MI 54/1 in 6.3 overs

* Yuzvendra brought into the attack!

20.27 IST: FOUR! Excellent way to end the Powerplay for Mumbai. 9 from it and it also brings the 50-run stand up. Ideal stand for Mumbai. Saini bowls this full and on off, Rohit lofts it over covers to bag another boundary. All Mumbai in the first six. MI 52/0 in 6 overs

20.25 IST: DROPPED AND FOUR! That is like rubbing salt to the wound. Grandhomme is the culprit. That should have been taken. Full and on middle, de Kock flicks it but uppishly towards mid-wicket. Colin there stretches his two hands upwards and tries to catch it but the ball bursts through and then goes to the fence behind. Big let off this, de Kock can be very dangerous here. MI 47/0 in 5.3 overs

20.22 IST: FOUR! That has been blasted by Rohit! That has gone to the fence like a tracer bullet. Length and outside off, Sharma stands tall and smashes it past the fielder at mid off. An expensive start from Siraj, 11 from his first. MI 43/0 in 5 overs

20.20 IST: SIX! Quinton is firing shots here! That's MASSIVE! Trademark de Kock this. Takes a few steps down the ground and then smashes the length ball over the long on fence. First biggie for him. MI 38/0 in 4.3 overs

Mohammed Siraj is on now.

20.15 IST: SIX! He has picked the bones out of that one! Short and on middle, once again, Rohit picks the length very early. He transfers his weight onto the back foot and pulls it over the mid-wicket fence for the first biggie. MI 32/4 in 4 overs

20.12 IST: FOUR! Smashed and de Kock is having a go now. MI 24/0 in 3 overs

20.08 IST: FOUR! A brilliant shot to end the over! Rohit moves onto 16 and he has scored all of his runs in boundaries. This is delightful. Slightly full and on off, Rohit leans into the stroke and hits it past cover. Second boundary in the over and the second over too goes for 9. MI 18/0 in 2 overs

20.07 IST: FOUR! Oooh. Rohit is only scoring in boundaries here! His third so far. This was fortunate though. Navdeep bowls a good ball, it lands on off and jags back in. Rohit tries to keep it out but it goes off the inside edge, over the stumps and to the fine leg fence.  MI 14/0 in 1.3 overs

20.05 IST: DROPPED! Quinton gets an early reprieve.  Full and on middle, de Kock flicks it on the bounce to Chahal at mid-wicket who fails to collect it.

* Navdeep Saini to bowl from the other end.

20.02 IST: FOUR! Rohit away again! A little nudge and it sails for a boundary. On the pads, Rohit just flicks it through square leg and it races away. MI 9/0 in 0.5 overs

20.01 IST: FOUR! First boundary of the match and comes through skipper Rohit Sharma. A present on the very first ball for Rohit and he takes it with both hand. Down the leg side, Rohit just helps it on its way to the fine leg fence. MI 5/0 in 0.2 overs

19.58 IST: We are all set for the action to begin! The Bangalore players make their way out to the middle. They are followed by the left-hand, right-hand combination of Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma. Umesh Yadav to open RCB's attack. Let's get started!
