The media manager of the Indian cricket team Nishant Arora has resigned from his post, after a directive from the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators stating that all BCCI employees appointed by former President Anurag Thakur and former Secretary Ajay Shirke must be relieved.

Arora was also accused of leaking confidential information to sacked Thakur.

According to a report by DNA, two senior Indian team members had accused Arora of passing on confidential dressing room information to Thakur and trying to create a rift between players.

"Is he (media manager) there to make things easy for us or to irritate us?" the report quoted a senior team member as saying. “There is so much of mistrust between players about who is leaking our personal conversation to the outside world," he added.

The Committee of Administrators has also closed down the offices of Thakur and Shirke and directed CEO Rahul Johri to relieve all the employees of the former board officials.

On February 1, the panel took the decision to relieve all employees in the offices of Thakur and Shirke.
