Opener Shikhar Dhawan and fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar have been released from the Indian Test squad after the duo made a request to the selectors to release them owing to personal reasons. While Shikhar will miss the second Test against Sri Lanka due to his sister's wedding this week, Bhuvneshwar is all set to tie the knot with Nupur Nagar and will miss the entire Test series.

Soon after the drawn first Test against Sri Lanka at Eden Gardens, Dhawan posted a hilarious video on Instagram teasing Bhuvneshwar about his wedding.

In the video, Dhawan fired a few bouncers at Bhuvneshwar, who did well to counter those. The fast bowler, who bagged the Man of the Match award in the first Test, also announced his wedding date (November 23) in the video.

"Lo ji humara ek sher kal joru ka gullam ban jaega. Isse puchte hai ki Motichoor ka Ladoo jo khae vo pachtae ya jo na khae vo pachtae (One of our teammates is going to get married, so let's just ask him how does he feel)?," Dhawan said.

Replying to Dhawan, Bhuvneshwar said the all the preparations are done by his family as he was on national duty.

"There is no excitement as such as I was on national duty till now and all the preparations are done by the families. So, I will only get to see how it feels when I reach home tomorrow (Tuesday)."

"Whatever, I have learned from these players (referring to Dhawan), I can say that it is quite a good and happy feeling," he added.

Meanwhile, captain Virat Kohli also praised Bhuvneshwar's bowling after the first Test. He said that the swing bowler has now become an automatic selection in India's Test playing XI.

"Bhuvneshwar's bowling has picked up the pace, his ball is heavier than what it used to be. He grabs his chances every time he comes into the team. He's a massive contender to start in every Test for India, he'll be a vital part of our plans, especially overseas," said Kohli.
