Jamaica: West Indies flamboyant batsman Chris Gayle welcomed his first child on Thursday morning and named her ‘Blush’.

He took to Instagram and Facebook accounts to confirm the good news. He posted a picture with his lady love Natasha Berridge.

The name ‘Blush’ reminds of Gayle’s controversial sideline interview with former Channel 10 presentor Mel McLaughlin during the Big Bash League in Australia.

After his innings against the Hobart Hurricanes, Gayle said to McLaughlin during an interview, “I wanted to come and have an interview with you as well. That’s the reason why I’m here, just to see your eyes for the first time. It’s nice so ... Hopefully we can win this game and have a drink after. Don’t blush baby.”

Chris Gayle apologised for his disgraceful comment later but was fined with $10,000.
