Virat Kohli has done it once again and a valiant display of grit and determination sees the Indian captain notch up his 25th Test century. The skipper achieved the feat on Day 3 of the 2nd Test in Perth against Australia.

This is his 63rd international ton overall and his maiden century in Perth. He last scored a Test ton against West Indies at home in Rajkot in October.

This was also is sixth Test century in Australia. He had scored a century in 2012 and then returned in 2014-15 to slam four more. This was also Kohli's fifth hundred in Test cricket in 2018.

Earlier on Saturday, Kohli played a pivotal role with a workmanlike 82, lifting India from a double blow at the beginning of innings to 172 for three in the second Test against Australia on Saturday.

Kohli's unbeaten knock, coupled with Ajinkya Rahane's counterattacking 51, helped India to not only overcome the cheap dismissals of Murali Vijay (2) and KL Rahul (2) but also put the visitors in a position from where they can look to dominate the rest of the game
