New Delhi: Pritam Munde, the second daughter of late Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Gopinath Munde, scripted Lok Sabha history winning the Beed seat in Maharashtra in a bypoll by a record margin of nearly seven lakh votes.

This is not for the first time that  any leader has won the election with  such a huge margin. Earlier, the record for maximum victory margin in the Lok Sabha polls was held by Anil Basu of CPI-M. He had won by 5,92,502 votes from Arambagh in West Bengal during the 2004 general elections.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also created a record for winning with the highest margin in 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
