Pawar had also questioned Modi's development model and his claim about changing the face of the country. Earlier this month, Pawar had said that there was no need for a debate on the matter once courts had cleared Modi in 2002 riots cases.
There were also reports of Pawar having met Modi, but the NCP leader dismissed them.
