Mumbai, Jan 23: Disrespect and hatred towards politicians can be eradicated if leaders follow Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's philosophy of working for the cause of the country, senior BJP leader L K Advani said Tuesday.

“The sentiment of disrespect and hatred for politicians can be eradicated if those in public life work for the welfare of the motherland...This is the philosophy of RSS and Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini,” Advani said here.

He wad addressing the 30th anniversary function of the Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini, a centre for political studies and research affiliated to RSS, at suburban Bhayander.
The BJP veteran also stressed on the need to groom new leaders who will strive to take India on the progressive path in the 21st century.

“What we could not achieve in the 20th century needs to be fulfilled in the 21st century. If the previous century was of the UK, the USSR and the USA, the 21st century should belong to India. We need to create leaders which will help to achieve the objective,” Advani said.

Hailing the work of Prabodhini, Advani said, “RSS has taught me discipline, character, sense of sacrifice and selflessness.”

BJP president Nitin Gadkari, who was present on the occasion, praised Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi for his administrative acumen, vision to plan and execute development programmes and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan for his good governance.

“Prabodhini helps in bringing qualitative improvement in the democracy. Over the years, it has helped BJP workers to improve their vision, capacity and merit,” Gadkari said, adding that training helps party workers to face political challenges.
