Lucknow:  After over four years, Samajwadi Party stalwart Mulayam Singh Yadav today shared the same stage with Amar Singh, his Man Friday once upon a time, during inauguration of Janeshwar Mishra Park in Lucknow

SP Chief had personally rung up the former SP leader and invited him to the ceremony. Amar Singh had responded positively to Mulayam Singh's invitation.

During the event Azam Khan was conspicuous by his absence. His seat had been occupied by none other than Amar Singh who sat beside Mulayam Singh.

On speculations of Amar Singh reconciling with Mulayam who had expelled him from the party four years back, Amar Singh said that this event must not be given a political move.

The relation between Mulayam Singh Yadav and Amar Singh has seen many ups and downs over the years.

One is a veteran a Socialist leader while the other is an industrialist-turned-politician. There was a time when Amar Singh used to be Mulayam Singh's alter ego. As it happens in politics, they had to part their ways over irreconcilable differences.

On 6 January 2010, Amar Singh had resigned from all posts of Samajwadi Party and was expelled from the party by Mulayam Singh Yadav on 2 February 2010.

Since then, they have not refrained from taking pot shots at each other on every given opportunity.
