JD-U suspends two MPs for six years

Patna: Bihar's ruling Janata Dal-United Wednesday suspended two of its MPs for six years for anti-party activities, a party leader said.Purnmasi Ram from Gopalganj and Jai Narayan Nishad from Muzaffarpur were suspended by party president

He had also demanded action against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, alleging that he too was involved in the fodder scam.



Party leaders said Nishad, on the other hand, was suspended for praising Bharatiya Janata Party prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

Last week, the JD-U suspended its legislator Chedi Paswan for meeting Modi and praising him.
