New Delhi: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the students' wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), on Saturday won all four seats in the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections.

All four ABVP candidates Satinder Awana, Sunny Dedha, Anjali Rana and Chhattarpal Yadav contesting for the posts of president, vice president, secretary and joint secretary, respectively, defeated their NSUI and CYSS counterparts.

The elections on Friday witnessed a 43.3 percent turnout, a slight dip from last year's 44 percent.

A total of 35 candidates were in the fray.

The main fight was between the ABVP and the AAP's students wing, Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti (CYSS).

Meanwhile, former Aam Aadmi party (AAP) leader Yogendra Yadav mocked Arvind Kejriwal-led party over poor performance of its students' wing in the polls.

“DUSU lesson: न माया मिली न राम This is what happens if new politics tries to follow dirty tricks of old politics,” he tweeted.
