10 facts to know about Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra's new Chief Minister

Devendra Fadnavis is the newly elected Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Incidentally he is the first person from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to hold this post. His name for the coveted post was unanimously adopted

4. Fadnavis as child refused to go to his school, Indira Convent, as the school was named after the late Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, whom he blamed for jailing his father who as part of Jan Sangh was arrested during the Emergency.

He was shifted to Saraswati Vidyalaya, from where he continued his education. He holds a Graduate Degree in Law from Nagpur University, a Post Graduate Degree in Business Management and a Diploma in Methods and Techniques of Project Management from D.S.E. Berlin.
