Congress asks EC to stop release of Modi film Namo Saune Gamo

Ahmedabad: Congress in Gujarat on Friday asked the Election Commission to stop the release of Gujarati film Namo Saune Gamo (`Namo is loved by all') on the ground that it was an indirect advertisement of

"It has been brought to our attention that a Gujarati film titled NaMo Saune Gamo is to be released today. This is nothing but an advertisement of Modi," AAP worker Santosh Singh said in a complaint before EC.

The AAP worker has also alleged that the release of such film is a gross violation of Model Code of Conduct during elections.

"We thus implore you to stop the violation of Model Code of Conduct by stopping the release and exhibition of any such film to ensure free and fair elections," Singh said in the complaint.
