Congress accuses BJP of maligning Delhi govt through onion, potato hoardings

New Delhi:  The ruling Congress party today complained to the EC that the BJP is trying to malign the Delhi government through through its hoardings showing prices of onions and tomatoes at Rs 100 and

Claiming that such boards and hoardings are a “total distortion of facts and a false propaganda”, Congress said the price of onions ranges between Rs 25 and Rs 50 and tomato from Rs 25 to Rs 48.

“The continuance of such boards and hoardings in different parts of Delhi/New Delhi is a deliberate mischief to malign Congress...and is in violation of the Model Code of Conduct,” he told the EC.

He contended that such a “false propaganda” would even provoke hoarders and black-marketeers to resort to hoarding of essential commodities.
