Kozhikode: Activists of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of BJP, allegedly vandalized a restaurant here claiming that "immoral activities" were going on from there, police said.

The protesters attacked the restaurant, Downtown Café, on P T Usha Road yesterday alleging that it was promoting immoral activities. The attack came after a local channel aired certain video footage about the restaurant.

The protestors decided to take law into their own hands.

The glass panes, furniture, television sets and some other properties were damaged by the attackers, police said. The police are yet to figure the real motive behind the attack.

A case has been registered but no arrest has been made so far, police added.
