Uddhav Thackeray Tuesday had commented, “If a chaiwala can become prime minister, why can't I become Maharashtra chief minister?”
Reacting to Uddhav's ramarks. Union minister Nitin Gadkari said, “We have respect for everyone, but if they disrespect us we will not tolerate it."
The Shiv Sena chief's comments were published in his party's mouthpiece Saamna.
Over the past few months, Thackeray who previously supported Modi, has been open about his criticism of the BJP and PM Modi. This cold attitude of the Sena Chief comes in view of the BJP breaking 25 years old alliance with the Shiv Sena.
“For 25 years, we have been together; we have seen victories and routs. When the alliance collapsed, I felt deeply pained, but I did not succumb,” Thackeray said in the Saamna interview.
