New Delhi: It was in year 1994 that Arvind Kejriwal, former Delhi Chief Minister, married his IRS batch mate and heartthrob Sunita. In 1996 the couple was blessed with their first child – Harshita. In 2001, their second child – Pulkit- was born. Harshita, Arvind's eldest daughter, recently cleared her Class XII, CBSE exams with flying colors. A student of DPS Noida, Harshita managed to secure a whooping 96%. A student of Science, Harshita's favorite subject is Physics. She performed extremely well in Physics. Harshita Kejriwal's role model is her father. Like Arvind, she aspires to get admission in an IIT. In case she fails to get through this time, she plans to skip a year and try again. After Arvind Kejriwal had resigned as the Chief Minister of Delhi, he had to vacate the bungalow provided to him by the state government. But Arvind had insisted on staying on till Harshita was through with her exams. Arvind's move had come under severe criticism but he and his family was undeterred. Despite their government residence in Tilak Lane becoming the centre of a political controversy, Harshita determinedly continued with her education and would sometimes go to her grand mother's place to study when her house would be accommodating too many people. Harshita Kejriwal is a loving daughter and is extremely polite by nature. Arvind Kejriwal's 16-year-old daughter takes great pride in the fact that her father has dared to question the system. Even her teachers and friends admire her father. Her parents are her strength. No matter what the opposition or the media says about her father, she is proud of him. Harshita believes that focus and strong will are the traits that would lead someone to success. Harshita Kejriwal is extremely modest. She feels that limelight is not permanent but determination to do something must be constant. As for Pulkit Kejriwal, he simply adores his father. When he was asked by some reporters whether he would consider joining politics at a later stage he spontaneously replied – No! Like all young boys, his father is his super hero who has solutions to all problems and like all superheroes, he is capable of single handedly managing the opponents. He says, “My dad is enough for his opponents. Papa mein hai dum (my dad has the power)”. Pulkit takes immense pride in his father. Arvind Kejriwal and his children are not affected by negative reports appearing in media. Arvind's children are his priceless assets and for them too he is equally important. They have complete faith in him and that is what boosts Arvind's energy and gives him strength.
