Kejriwal can't browbeat media, Rajat Sharma tells IIT Delhi students

New Delhi: India TV chairman and editor-in-chief Rajat Sharma today lashed out at Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal for his remarks in Nagpur threatening to jail mediapersons.Addressing students of Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi,

"I want to say that most of us who are in media are honest. Dishonest are those who were editors till recently and have joined politics today to get a ticket", the India TV chairman said.

Sharma said, he was imprisoned for 17 months in jail for publishing an underground newspaper during Emergency in Delhi.

"During the Emergency, police beat me on my shin, and til today it pains me. But I never lost courage. I want to remind Kejriwal that Indira Gandhi who imposed the draconian Emergency for 22 months, was squarely defeated in the elections and her party was almost wiped
