Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday briefed media about all important decisions take in the cabinet meeting early in the day.

# Cabinet has cleared some bills. Indian Medical Council will be replaced by National Medical Council bill, says Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad

# Cabinet approves proposal to introduce the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2017, to make instant triple talaq void and illegal.

# To strengthen arbitration, we have decided to set up a centre of Indian Council of International Arbitration as centre of all Indian excellence.

# The monetary value of digital transactions during April - September 2017 was worth 2.18 lakh crores: @rsprasad, noting how the volume of digital transactions is growing at a fast pace.

# This amount is estimated to be 4.37 lakh crores for the whole of the current financial year.

# Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) applicable on all debit card/BHIM UPI/ AePS transactions up to and including a value of Rs. 2000 to be borne by Government for 2 years with effect from 1 January, 2018 by reimbursing same to the banks, decides Union Cabinet.
