BSP supremo Mayawati will address public rallies in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur and Kannauj, on Thursday, to garner votes for her party in the Lok Sabha elections 2019.

Commenting on Mayawati’s rally in Shahjahanpur, UP Minister Suresh Khanna, on Thursday, said she is a “fused transformer”.

“See, all these (leaders) are fused transformer. Whosoever connect the wire with the fused transformer will neither be able to light bulb nor be able to run fan…Why talk about the fused transformer?” ANI quoted Suresh Khann, as saying.

The general election is currently being held in seven phases from 11 April to 19 May 2019 to constitute the 17th Lok Sabha. The counting of votes will be conducted on 23 May, and on the same day the results will be declared.

Legislative Assembly elections in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim will be held simultaneously with the general election.
