External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today said that the Indian government is talking to the US administration for ensuring that Indians living there do not lose their jobs because of H-1B visa policy.

She further added that no Indian has lost his/her job till now because of the ongoing row over H-1B visa.

"We are in talk with the U.S. administration and Congressmen. No one has lost job till now. No policy has been announced till now," Sushma Swaraj said in the Rajya Sabha.

Even last week, Sushma Swaraj had informed the Parliament that the Indian government is talking to the US government over H-1B visa row and that the interests of Indians living there will be protected.

"Currently there are four bills in the US Congress about curbs on H1B visas. We are engaged (in a dialogue) with the US at very high level regarding this... We are making all efforts (through diplomatic channels) to ensure these bills are not passed," Sushma Swaraj said.

"So, there is no reason to worry about it as of now," she added.
