BJP backed Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has won three seats whereas Congress backed NSUI managed to get only one seat in the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) polls.

ABVP's Amit Tanwar, Priyanka Chabri, Ankit Sangwan have been elected as President,Vice-President and secretary rescpectively whereas NSUI's Mohit Sangwan has won the post for the new joint secretary.

A total of 17 candidates were contesting for the four posts in DUSU, with seven of them vying for the president’s post, four for vice-president, and three each for the post of secretary and joint secretary.

While seven of them were in the race for the post of DUSU president, four were fighting for the vice-president's seat.

There are a total of 1,23,421 voters in DelhiUniversity. Voting for DUSU, as happens every year, was scheduled in two phases at 50 polling centres in 42 colleges and eight departments of the varsity.
