In yet another indication of the widening rift between the grand alliance partners in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav today avoided sharing stage with each other at a government programme in Patna.

Both Nitish and Tejashwi were scheduled to attend a programme on the occasion of World Youth Skill Day in the state capital.

A chair with Tejashwi’s name-plate was placed on the dais in the morning. However, his name-plate was first covered and after that the chair was removed just before the start of the function as it became clear that the Deputy CM would not attend the programme.

The two leaders had met a few days back during the cabinet meeting after which Tejashwi’s security guards had allegedly misbehaved with the media persons.

Ahead of the function, JD(U) spokesperson KC Tyagi indirectly advised Tejashwi Yadav to resign by pointing out that Nitish Kumar himself had resigned in the past when he faced situations.
