Pro Kabaddi League 2017, Match 125: Puneri Paltan thrash U Mumba

    In Match 125 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 5, it was the classic Maharashtrian derby where Puneri Paltans hosted U Mumba. Deepak Niwas Hooda's Paltans lost their first match against the mighty Gujarat Fortunegiants in their opening match in Pune but stepped up their game against their neighbours by registering a win and making it into the playoffs.     The U Mumba raiders were tied down by the Puneri Paltan defence. Girish Ernak made 8 tackle points. A brick in the wall for the hosts as he denied the likes of Kashiling Adake, Shabeer Bappu, Anup Kumar and Srikanth Jadav. The Paltan's defence did a commendable job as they picked up their first win at home.

    Here's an image of Rajesh Mondal of Puneri Paltan raiding the U Mumba defence. Mondal had 6 raid points which were crucial at a time when Pune needed a lift from an equaliser during the match. It was their second encounter this season as Pune managed to win both the fixtures against U Mumba.
