TN, Kerala, WB, Assam and Puducherry: Checkout how public reacted to Election Result
-
India witnessed the assembly poll results of five states. It was indeed an interesting day in Indian politics. The Congress lost ground all around — except in Puducherry — as the BJP claimed victory in Assam and made inroads into West Bengal and Kerala. Mamata Banerjee’s TMC won in West Bengal, while BJP broke the Congress stranglehold over Assam. In Tamil Nadu it was Jayalalitha all over, while the LDF received a massive win in Kerala. On the other hand, the Congress-DMK alliance recaptured Puducherry after five year. This political extravaganza set the mood for celebration among the supporters of the winning party as they took to roads, distributed sweets, burnt crackers etc to mark the victory. Take a look at the political celebrations across different states.
