  • Rajkummar Rao's Newton, directed by Amit V Masurkar won the National Film Awards. 

  • Late actress Sridevi has been posthumously conferred with Best Actress Award for her performance in Mom.

  • 19-year-old Riddhi Sen bagged the National Film Award for Best Actor (Nagar Kirtan) 

  • A. R. Rahman won the Best Background Score Award for Mom and Best Music Director for Katru Veliyidai. 

  • Rana Daggubati's Ghazi won the Best Regional Film Award (Telegu)

  • Baahubali 2 won under Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, Best VFX and Best Action Direction

  • Best Film Award has been roped in by Assamese film Village Rockstar. It also won under Best Editing, Best Audiography, Best Location Sound Recording and Best Child Artist. 

  • Vinod Khanna, who passed away last year, has also been announced for Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
