Peshawar: Pakistani security forces today killed Saddam, a key Taliban commander, who was reportedly the facilitator of the horrendous Peshawar school massacre in which 132 school children were killed on Dec 16.

Political Agent of Khyber Agency Shahab Ali Shah, told mediapersons that Saddam was killed in Gundi area of Jamrud. One of his accomplices was injured, he added.

Shah said, Saddam was a key operational commander of Tariq Gedar group of Tehreek-i-Taliban (TTP). It was Saddam who had helped the Taliban terrorists to launch the attack on Army Public School in Peshawar.

Saddam was also said to be the mastermind behind the 2013 attack on a polio team in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in which 11 security personnel were killed.
 
He was also involved in the killing of eight scout personnel and other senior tribal elders.
 
Shah said, the area in Tirah from where the Mangal Bagh FM radio is operational, is yet to cleared by security forces.
