New Delhi: Eleanor Catton is the youngest author to win the coveted Booker Prize this year. She was born on 24 September 1985 in Canada and raised in New Zealand.
She currently lives in Auckland.She has done MA in fiction writing from the International Institute of Modern Letters.
Her debut novel The Rehearsal (2008) was shortlisted for the Guardian First Book Award and the Dylan Thomas Prize, and longlisted for the Orange Prize and now just at the age of 28, she has been recognized as the youngest ever winner of the £50,000 Man Booker Prize for her novel The Luminaries.
