People have bathed in its pools for thousands of years. The scallop-shaped basins of water and frozen waterfalls decorate the area. Glass Beach, California Located near Fort Bragg in California, Glass Beach is abundant in sea glass created from years of dumping garbage into an area of coastline near the northern part of the town. Formed entirely from hexagonally jointed basalt columns created by solidified lava, Fingal's Cave has naturally arched roof and the eerie sounds produced by the echoes of waves. Hvitserkur, North Iceland Hvitserkur is 15 meters high cliff which jut out of the sea. It is located at the northern tip of the Vatnsnes Peninsula in Iceland. The sea erosion has carved holes through its foundations and sculptured it in the unique shape it is today. While some believe it is a monster, other claims it has the simliar shape that of a dragon. Skaftafell, Iceland Known as the second largest park in Iceland, Skaftafell park is almost an oasis caught between sand and glacier. The caves at the edge of Iceland's Svinafellsjokull glacier were formed by highly pressurized glacier ice that contains few air bubbles. Since glaciers are highly active, one can hear loud cracks and groans created by the shifting ice.
