When it comes to the vehicles they use, their security guards/agencies play a vital role in choosing the same very cautiously. One such important thing is the aeroplane which they use for travel both inside and outside the country.Most of the countries have especial airplanes for their President and Prime Minister.Besides, it also showcases the strength and power of a nation. Here we are taking a look at top five aeroplanes which are used exclusively by the respective country's top leader for travelling safely and in style.Barack Obama, US President (Plane - Air Force One)Compared to other countries, the plane of US President Barack Obama is bigger and more powerful.Air Force One can be used by only US President.The cost of this plane is nearly 325 million dollar (Rs 1950 crore).The special features of Air Force One are -- battery of on-board doctor travels with the President at all times, a small operating, 85 on-board telephones, two-way radios, fax machines and computer connections.The President and his travel companions enjoy 4,000 square feet of floor space on three levels.The aircraft can be refuelled in mid-air and has unlimited range and can carry the President wherever he needs to travel.Air Force One is equipped with advanced secure communications equipment allowing the US President to connect with anyone in the world while flying as high as 15,000 meters.The aircraft is a prominent symbol of the American Presidency and its power.Vladimir Putin, President of Russia (Plane - Ilyushin Il-96-300PU)The main Presidential aircraft is the four-engined, long-range, widebody Ilyushin Il-96-300PU, a highly modified Il-96, with the two last letters standing for ‘Command Point' in Russian.This plane is used by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.The aircraft is a highly customized version of the standard Il-96. It is being said that this plane is also as high tech as that of the US President.The interiors of the aircraft are inspired by Russian art.Four modified Il-96s have been used as Presidential aircraft. The first one was used by the first President of Russia, Boris Yeltsin.In 2005, the second aircraft was used by President Vladimir Putin.In 2010, the third President, Dmitry Medvedev, announced that he wanted to expand the presidential fleet with two more aircraft, manufactured by the Voronezh Aircraft Plant. Previously the president had used Ilyushin Il-62, Tupolev Tu-154, and Yakovlev Yak-40 aircraft.Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India (Air India One)Air India One is the aircraft used by the Prime Minister of India Narenda Modi.The aircraft is equipped with missile-deflecting systems, modern flight management system, category II instrument landing system and many other things.It has twice the amount of wiring, 238 miles, compared to a normal plane of this type. Its shielding is so that it can withstand an electromagnetic pulse associated with a nuclear blast.It also carries President of India and the Vice President of India.Air India is the national airline of India.The aircraft are operated as VIP flights by the Indian Air Force (IAF). The IAF's Air Headquarters Communications Squadron, based at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, is in charge of operating the aircraft.Shinzō Abe, Prime Minister of Japan (Plane - Cygnus One and Cygnus Two)Japanese Air Force One and Air Force Two are the radio call signs of the two Boeing 747 aircraft used by the Emperor and Prime Minister of Japan.The two aircraft always fly together on government mission, one as primary plane and other as backup.Each aircraft has a capacity of 140 passengers and can be used for emergency evacuations of Japanese citizens and overseas deployment of Japan Self-Defense Forces personnel.The aircrafts have the call-signs Cygnus One and Cygnus Two when operating outside.The current 747 aircraft are scheduled to be retired in fiscal year 2018. They will be replaced by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in fiscal year 2019.Xi Jinping, President OF China (Plane - Boeing 777-400)Chinese President Xi Jinping used passenger plane Boeing 777-400 for his visits as he does not have any special plane.The aircraft is not full of luxuries but has all security arrangements.The plane usually flies domestic routes and is temporarily converted to special plane for Xi's visit.There are 8 Boeing 747-400 in CA passenger plane fleet.The plane is usually informed 20 days before a "special plane" mission. Civil Aviation Administration of China asks Air China to submit lists of the crew members and conduct security check.The forecabin inside the plane is generally equivalent to business class.
