Khwaja Asif China to stand by Pakistan if India imposes war: Pak Defence Minister

Pakistani Defence Minister Khwaja Asif has claimed that China would stand by Islamabad if India imposed war on the latter.

“China is supporting Pakistan in its all affairs related to country’s defence,” Khwaja Asif told Pakistani channel ‘Geo News’.

On Wednesday, Pakistan claimed that at least 10 of its civilians were killed and 21 other injured during shelling by Indian troops along LoC.

Pakistani Army also claimed that its three soldiers, including a captain, also lost their lives in an exchange of fire across the LoC.

Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said that his country will not tolerate India's "deliberate targeting" of civilians and ambulances.

"We cannot tolerate deliberate targeting of innocent civilians particularly children and women, ambulances and civilian transport. Pakistan has exercised maximum restraint despite the continuing ceasefire violations from Indian security forces along the Line of Control (LoC)," Nawaz Sharif said.
