New Delhi: The Supreme Court today constituted a committee of three judges to inquire into allegations of sexual harassment by an intern against a then sitting judge, now retired.





The committee consisting of Justices R M Lodha, H L Dattu and Ranjana P Desai will start work from today evening itself, the court said.

The Chief Justice of India Justice P Sathasivam said, as  head of the institution, I am also concerned about the allegation and anxious whether the statement is true or not.

He said, the committee will go into the whole affair and find out the facts and prepare the report.

"We are taking steps and in cases of sexual harassment, we cannot take it lightly", the Chief Justice said.
