New Delhi: Rift surfaced in Aam Admi Party as its MLA from Laxmi Nagar Vinod Kumar Binny accused Arvind Kejriwal government of betraying Delhi people.

Binny, who had demanded a ministerial post and had stopped short of an open revolt when he was left out in December, has revived his dissent and vowed to spill all in a press conference on Thursday.

Reacting to Binny's revolt, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said, Binny was pestering for a Lok Sabha ticket, but the party leadership had refused to give him the ticket on grounds that tickets would not be given to sitting MLAs.

Kejriwal also revealed that Binny had sought a ministerial post last month.

Binny had defeated Congress stalwart and former minister A K Walia from Laxminagar constituency.

Binny told India TV that he would not resign from AAP. "I joined the party nine months ago, when there were hardly any people to work for the new party".

Asked what he would do if he was expelled, Binny said, he would reveal his plans tomorrow at a press conference.
