Bhopal, Mar 26: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said all rural households in the State will start getting 24-hour power supply from May-end.



Also, a minimum eight-hour electricity will be provided for agriculture works, an official release today quoted Chouhan as saying while addressing villagers at `Antyodaya Mela' at Sultanpur in Raisen district yesterday.

Antyodaya Melas' are organised all over the State to highlight various welfare schemes for the underprivileged launched by the BJP Government.

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj and former Chief Minister Sundarlal Patwa, among others, were present on the occasion.

A total of 22,501 people were given benefits worth over Rs 33 crore under various schemes at Antyodaya Mela, the release said.

Chouhan also distributed over Rs 511 crore to 7,000 beneficiaries in Obaidudullaganj block, it added.
