New Delhi, May 6: A man in East Delhi's Kalyanpuri on Sunday stabbed his pregnant wife to death over a domestic quarrel. He was later arrested.
Amreesh Tyagi, a neighbour, said, Vineeta had married Ajit one and a half years ago. She was pregnant and was reported to have twin foetuses.
Police said, Vineeta used to pester Ajit to take up a job, but the husband was insisting on continuing his education as a BA student.
After a heated quarrel, Ajit allegedly stabbed his wife in the abdomen. Vineeta was rushed to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, where she was declared dead.
Police is presently interrogating Ajit about the cause of murder.
