New Delhi: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal today said his government will not hold Janata Darbar for the time being in view of the Saturday fiasco.
He however said, he would spare two to three hours once a week to meet aam aadmi to hear their grievances.
Kejriwal asked people to send their grievances online, or through the call centre, or by post.
"We are setting up a system in which the people will be able to send their grievances online. The facility is already available on the Delhi government website," Kejriwal told reporters.
"We will also set up call centres for those who cannot write their grievances and their problems would be written and read to them. People can also send their grievances by post," the chief minister added.
This was decided at a top level meeting today where the failure in arranging for a crowd of several thousands was discussed.
Kejriwal and his minister had to leave the Janata Darbar on Saturday outside the Delhi secretariat, when nearly 20,000 people converged carrying applications.
Many of the complainants stood on the table at which Kejriwal sat, and the chief minister had to retreat to the Secretariat roof to address the crowd.
"People do not have to come to me to submit their grievances now," Kejriwal said.
"There are people who just want to meet the chief minister and the ministers. Once in a week for two-three hours we will meet them. But for grievances submission, many avenues will be opened soon," said Kejriwal.
