4. Bihar

 

Bihar witnessed 63 incidents of communal riots last year.

The communal clashes started here on August 10, a day after Eid, when some Muslim youths objected to the presence of burqa-clad Muslim girls at Baba ka Dhaba, owned by a Hindu, on the outskirts of the Nawada town.

The youths attacked the dhaba and damaged the furniture.

The repercussion of which both the communities started fighting with each other cause the death of two people.

 
5. Karnataka


 


73 incidents of communal violence in the state caused the death of more than 30.

There have been frequent clashes between the two communities particularly in Chikmaglur district.
