Jung appeals Delhi Police to increase women personnel

New Delhi: Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung today made a fervent appeal to the Delhi Police for inducting more women personnel in its ranks which he said will bring not only “quality and colour” but also

Jung complemented the country's largest border guarding force—BSF—for having a good representation of women personnel and officers in combat ranks.  

The LG said women joining police and paramilitary forces is a “singular matter of pride” for all.

Jung also complimented BSF personnel during the anniversary celebrations of its founding father K F Rustamji as he said that the force works in “some of the most difficult areas of our country” and hence its needs to be respected.
