New Delhi: Maharashtra ATS has interrogated 8 person in last 2 days in connection with the youths who allegedly joined ISIS, out of which 3 are MBA students, 2 is Chemical engineer, 2 NGO, and 1 is Self proclaimed cleric.
On May 29, 4 youths, Areef alias Areeb Majid, Fahad Shaikh, Aman Tandel and Shaheen Tanki went missing from Kalyan.
According to the police, these boys reached Iraq in June and thereafter went to Syria and joined Terror outfits ISIS. On 28 August, Shaheen Tanki called his family from Syria and told that Areeb Majid died in bombing during war.
Mumbai and Maharastra ATS is investigating the case that how these young boys who have no criminal record got in contact with Terror outfit Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.
ATS is also trying to find out who convinced these 4 boys to join ISIS, who helped them in going to Iraq and also how did these boys connect with ISIS top bosses and why and how they have recruited them all.
ATS made 5 raids till now at Bhivandi, Kalyan, Mumbai and Thane in this regards and interrogated around 20 people in this regard.
