The maximum day temperatures fluctuated marginally while there was no significant change in minimum temperatures during the past 24 hours.

Kangra was the wettest place in the region with 83 mm rains while Nurpur and Dharamsala recorded 60 mm and 37 mm of rains, followed by Kasauli 30 mm, Baijnath 28 mm, Una 20 mm and Paonta Sahib 16 mm respectively.  

Una was the hottest area in the region with minimum and maximum temperatures at 24.2 deg and 34 deg Celsius respectively while Bhuntar recorded a high of 32.6 deg C, followed by Sundernagar 31.2 deg, Dharamsala 28.2 deg, Solan 28 deg, Nahan 27.3 deg, Shimla 24.9 deg and Kalpa 19.4 deg C respectively.  

Meanwhile, the maximum temperature soared to 27.1 deg C at Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district which was 8.2 deg above normal.

The local MeT office has predicted rains and thunderstorm at many places in the state over next one week.
