Campa Cola residents to mull options after SC's eviction order

Mumbai : Residents of the illegally-constructed floors in the Campa Cola residential compound have begun to examine their options after the Supreme Court ordered yesterday that they would be evicted by the end of May

The court has asked residents to submit an undertaking within six weeks of the decision saying that they would vacate their flats.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra's Minister of State for Housing Sachin Ahir asked Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan to clarify his stand on the Campa Cola compound issue.

“The state government should have taken a decision earlier. It is not good to make occupants suffer. I will meet the chief minister after cabinet meeting,” Ahir told reporters.
