    Man who jumped in front of approaching metro trains at Mandi House metro station, taken to hospital

    DMRC on Monday informed delay in services from Yamuna Bank to Kirti Nagar due to a passenger jumped in front of an approaching train on track at Mandi House. Normal service on all other lines.

    The man who had jumped on the track at Mandi House metro station has been taken to a hospital. Normal services have resumed on the Blue Line.

    Not party in court: Govt on SC's order on reservation

    The government on Monday informed Lok Sabha that it was not a party in the Supreme Court which has ordered that states are not bound to provide reservation in appointments.

    Making a statement in the House, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Thaawarchand Gehlot said the Centre was
    also not asked to file an affidavit on the issue.

    He said the top court order pertains to a decision of the Uttarakhand government taken in 2012 when the Congress was in
    power in the state.

    This led to protests by Congress members who walked out of proceedings.

    Gargi College molestation: Students continue to hold protest, Police launches probe

    Scores of students of the all-women Gargi College on Monday held a protest against the alleged molestation of girls by a group of men who had gatecrashed a cultural festival, demanding strict action against the intruders. The Delhi Police said it has launched a probe into the incident and is scanning CCTV footage to gather evidence.

    Police, however, have not received a complaint in this regard, a senior officer said.

    The incident came to light after some students took to Instagram to narrate their unpleasant experiences during the February 6 college fest.
    Over 100 students held a protest outside the gate of Gargi College.

    Institute of Teaching, Research in Ayurveda Bill introduced in Lok Sabha

    The Government on Monday introduced a bill in Lok Sabha which seeks to confer the status of institution of national importance to a cluster of ayurveda institutions in Gujarat.

    The Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda Bill was introduced in Lok Sabha by Minister of State in Ministry of Ayush Sripad Yesso Naik. The Bill seeks to confer the status of Institution of National Importance to the Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda Jamnagar by conglomerating the cluster of Ayurveda institutes at Gujarat Ayurveda University campus, Jamnagar.

    Gargi College molestation case: DCW issues notices to Delhi Police, institute

    The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has issued notices to Delhi Police and Gargi College for their alleged inaction in the "molestation" of students by a group of men who had gatecrashed a cultural festival.

    DCW Chief Swati Maliwal also spoke to several female students in the college about the incident. "We have issued notices to Delhi Police and Gargi College for inaction."
