Restoration of the collapsed regulator to start thereafter. Army also completes the clearing of silt and sludge that had jammed 5 gates of ITO Barrage. Delhi LG is still present on the site, overseeing the works and encouraging workmen.

    Rains lashed Mumbai and its suburbs on Friday morning after almost a week of subdued rainfall activity, which led to waterlogging at some places and resulted in slowing down of traffic, officials said.     Uttar Pradesh: 14 killed in rain-related incidents

    Fourteen people were killed in rain-related incidents across Uttar Pradesh in the past 24 hours, even as the Ganga was flowing above the danger level in Badaun and Yamuna above danger level at Mavi in Muzaffarnagar. Seven people died after lightning struck them, four drowned and three were killed in other related incidents, said the Relief Commissioner.
