PM Modi delivers Motion of Thanks in Rajya Sabha

PM Modi delivers Motion of Thanks in Rajya Sabha. Highlights:

    - It was a productive session

    - I always had a lot of expectation from this house

    - People expect a lot from all of us

    - Article 370 was revoked after a detailed discussion in parliament

    - Broadcast was cancelled during Telangana formation

    - People of Andhra were not consulted on partition

    - Atal Ji created not one but three states. The entire process was done in an amicable manner, unlike what happened during the creation of Telangana

    - Did our former PM Dr. Manmohan Sigh not remark that democracy is being harmed due to protests on the Telangana issue?

    - Honestly, I was a bit disappointed with some of the remarks. Some members have made stagnation a virtue. They were stuck in the same old ways, talking about the same old things of the past

    - For the first time in decades, people of Jammu and Kashmir got benefits of reservation. There were BDC polls, RERA came into being there. For the first time, Jammu and Kashmir got a comprehensive start-up, trade and logistics policy. Anti-corruption bureau was set up there

    - J&K is now getting benefits from Ayushman Bharat scheme

    - 2.5 Lacs toilets built in Jammu and Kashmir

    - Insurgency came to an end in North-East

    - There is complete peace in North-East

    - North-East is a big part of India's development

    - North-East is not being ignored anymore

    - Plight of the Bru refugees was pitiable. Yet, the Party which ruled most parts of the Northeast for decades and the Party that ruled Tripura for decades did nothing about this problem. It was our Government that had the honour of solving this major problem
