With new cases appearing every day in various areas of the city, Agra has become the new hotspot of Covid-19 in Uttar Pradesh. Agra has topped with total 22 hotspots of the pandemic, followed by Ghaziabad 13 with Lucknow, Gautam Buddh Nagar and Kanpur accounting for 12 hotspots each. Most of the cases are being found in the areas where Tablighi Jamaat members either visited or stayed. Therefore, the Agra administration announced that a total of 22 hotspots/epicentres which were already barricaded will be closed completely till April 15. Intensive patrolling will be conducted in these areas and extensive sanitisation will be done using fire brigade vehicles.

What does sealing means
- People in the sealed hotspots will not be allowed to step out of the house for anything
- Essential commodities and medicines will be delivered at home.
- Curfew passes will be cancelled
- No vegetable and fruit markets in that area.
- Anyone trying to enter or exit the seal area will be booked
- Each and every house of in the sealed zone will be sanitised
