Coronavirus in India: Death toll rises to 1223, cases mount to 37776. Check state-wise tally

The death toll due to coronavirus jumped to 1223 on Saturday while the cases mounted to 37776, according to the figures published by the Ministry of Health at 5.30 pm.

The death toll due to coronavirus jumped to 1223 on Saturday while the cases mounted to 37776, according to the figures published by the Ministry of Health at 5.30 pm. About 10,018 patients in India have recovered so far. The number of active cases stands at 26,535. Earlier on Friday, Joint Secretary of Health Ministry, Lav Agarwal said that the recovery rate of coronavirus in India has improved as it stands at 25.19 percent now. 

"The recovery rate is now 25.19 percent. A progressive recovery rate has been observed. The recovery rate of COVID-19 cases stands at 25.19 percent which was 13.06 percent 14 days ago," he said while briefing the media on Friday, over the COVID-19 crisis in India.
