Bangalore, Nov 14: External Affairs Minister S M Krishna on Sunday said he is happy that the legacy of hostility between India and Pakistan has given way to cordiality and understanding.

“We have had a legacy of hostility, but now I am happy that the hostility between India and Pakistan is giving way to cordiality and understanding,” he told reporters on the sidelines of Indian Ocean Rim Association for Regional Cooperation (IOC-ARC) conference here.

Krishna said the equation between India and Pakistan is extremely good as both countries had a “good meeting” at the SAARC summit in Maldives, but hoped Pakistan would address India's core concerns seriously, especially terror-driven activities.

He also said there was a realisation on the part of both countries to look at improving relations in future. “Future is one which brings about greater understanding with both countries,” he said.
