In push for construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) is holding a massive rally at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan today. This comes days before the commencement of the Parliament's winter session. VHP, which has been demanding a bill for construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya, said it was confident that it would be tabled in the upcoming winter session of Parliament. Hindu priests have congregated at the Ramlila Ground today to participate in 'dharam sansad', which will be addressed by RSS' executive head Suresh 'Bhaiyyaji' Joshi.

"It will be a massive gathering which will change the hearts of all those who are not in favour of bringing the bill for construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya," VHP's spokesperson Vinod Bansal had said.

Addressing the Dharma Sabha at Ramlila Maidan, Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi said that those in power should listen to the people and fulfill the demand of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. He said that they are well aware of the sentiments, adding that a Ram Mandir will be constructed at the same 'disputed' land in Ayodhya. He added that those in power today had promised for a Ram temple. “There is no other option available than enacting a law on Ram Mandir. The BJP should fulfill its commitment. The work (on Ram Mandir) in 1992 was left incomplete,” he stated.

"The country wants Ram Rajya", he said while addressing the audience.

Besides Joshi, VHP's president Vishnu Sadashiv Kokje and its international working president Alok Kumar will also address the rally, Bansal said, adding that various saints will also address the gathering.

The organisation has been carrying out door-to-door campaign in the national capital and its adjoining areas for making this rally a grand success.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad's (VHP) campaign for Ram Mandir will culminate at Prayag with a 'Dharam Sansad' of priests and saints. The final religious congregation will be held on January 31 and February 1. On November 25, the VHP had held a mega event in Ayodhya which was attended by around 3 lakh people.
